Haven’t we all experienced these kinds of people in our life? These are the types of people who may be genetically, or possibly insecure about themselves and use various types of “toxic” methods to put other people down. What is the psychology of this mechanism? Freud had something to say about that and there are many theories. What is more important is how to deal with such people you may find in your life.Danielle Barone states that 1st step is to identify the toxic people in your life. She says that you will have a feeling that you are “going crazy” and that you are the one who must eliminate that person from your life and, until you that, you will be allowing that person to control you. She has some other advice about dealing with these toxic people and they are 1. exercise to release endorphins and 2. develop a support group. Even Oprah’s guest life coach, Cheryl Richardson talks about this issue and divides these negative people into different types: 1. the Blamer;2. the Drainer;3. the Shamer;4. the Discounter;5. the Gossip. The main thing is to develop a mechanism to keep them from making you sick. The picture above is Dr. Lilian Glass, author of “Toxic People.”
This started out as a post on my astrology site, but because it also has some implications in the field of alternative therapy for autism, I decided to post it here as well. J-Mac, 1s a 20 yr old man who was diagnosed as autistic, became a national celebrity in February of 2006. Because of his shortness and “lack of skill”, he was pretty much on the bench during the basketball season. However, on that day, at the very end of the game, with 4 minutes left, he scored 20 points. Well, he, of course, went on to become a national celebrity, and met President George, w. Bush, appeared on CBs and Oprah, and many others. At the present time, he is under contract to make a movie of this famous game. His real name is Jason McElwain. He has a modified Kalaparusha Yoga giving him that quick rise to fame. What is the reason for his autism? If we look at his natal chart we do find Ketu conjunct with the sun and they are sworn enemies. In his 12th divisional chart,Saturn is in its’ enemy’s house (Cancer) and it is directly aspecting Mercury. Quite often this can lead to neurological problems. Jason was receiving speech Therapy. He does have Mars in his ascendant and is currently in a Mars period, so this again may account for his quick ascendancy. I might also note that, as I have noted before in previous posts, that oftentimes those with Asperger’s Syndrome (Autism) do go on to have productive lives. It is what is known as a “spectrum disorder” with many degrees of affliction. He is a true inspiration to many who have this “disorder,”and, as other authorities, like Dr.Scott Saunders have said, exercise does truly have a beneficial aid for these children.
